Yes, you read that right. I have been working tirelessly to finish this manuscript, and the finish line is within sight. I am excited to share it with you!

The labor pains accompanying this project are real. Between sitting in this spot for hours on end with hands hovering over the keyboard, and the mental decisions involved in every revision, I think this is the hardest pushing I could have never imagined. Drinks, pencil sharpeners, post it notes galore, dictionaries, more open tabs than I am willing to confess, and countless distractions have been the best companions throughout the last six months.

What is the book about?

Plain and simple, it is about brokenness–everyone’s favorite topic to discuss. Yes? No? It is not a swirling of the drain, but a challenge to reframe the way we view brokenness. Our difficult seasons do not have to define us. We can gather lessons, pursue healing, and use our stories to encourage others. I share straight from my difficult seasons. What is the title of the book?

Broken Vessels: Reframing Brokenness to Advance the Gospel

Broken Vessels was born from a season of layered loss in my life. I found myself face down on my bedroom floor not knowing if I could take another breath on my own. My marriage was falling apart, and it stirred an awakening of childhood trauma. This was the season where the cracks in my vessel gave way to a complete shattering. I needed Jesus like I had never realized before. He sustained me. He extended kindness toward me. He offered healing. Our lives were meant to tell the story of the hope God offers his children. All his children. Instead of covering up the hard chapters of our lives, we can share the hope we found in the dark.

It is a six-week study that can be studied alone, with a friend, or in a small group.
